WHO I AM:
Over the course of my coaching career, I have won at every level; from middle school boys and girls, to high school state championships, to an NCAA Women's Cross Country title, to success at the Olympic Games. However, what I am most proud of is not the championship titles or amount of sub-4 minute milers I have produced, but the fact that I have placed the development of each athlete as a person first. My athletes thoroughly enjoy the sport and they have seen how running can help them grow in to better people. I experience the same happiness when a middle-school beginner completes a mile non-stop for the first time as when one of my athletes qualifies for the Olympic team. The process of improving mentally and physically on a daily basis is centerfold to my success as a coach, and the well-being of my athletes.

Over the course of my 30 years of coaching, from middle-school boys and girls, to over ten sub-4:00 milers, and Olympians, a hallmark of my coaching philosophy has been all-around athletic development. A better athlete is stronger, more agile, more flexible, more explosive, more durable and more mentally prepared. These attributes equate with the ability to withstand more event specific training required for higher levels of performance. My training plans are holistic and comprehensive, and focus on establishing a tremendous athletic foundation. This foundation results in healthy athletes who reach the summit and set new personal records!
Throughout my career, I have developed a proven mental training system for athletes and businesses to gain a competitive advantage. I offer two different methods of performance training; one in a group setting and the other via a one-on-one relationship.
This service allows the client to learn and practice my mental training skills through one-on-one communication. This includes speaking on the phone, meeting in person, as well as on-going communication through email. My unique and powerful mental training system will allow you to fully utilize your intellect, fitness, and ability at the most crucial moments of any competition or business meeting.
